How to use yCovers on yCubes

yCovers are stylish silicone inserts that fit perfectly on Gardyn yCubes to block light, preventing unwanted algae and other growths on the rockwool’s surface. They come in four colors to match your Gardyn's unique vibe.

Your yCubes are ready for yCovers only after the seeds have sprouted and have already been thinned, or trimmed. Placing yCovers on yCubes too early could prevent your seeds from growing.

To place a yCover on a yCube, flex the cover to open the slit around your plant's stem(s). Let the cover close around the stem(s), and gently press the yCover into the top of your yCube so it's touching the rockwool and flush with the yCube's casing. That's it! yCovers' flexible design makes them ideal for flexing with your plant as the stem(s) grow thicker.

Hand wash yCovers with soap and water between uses, including if you want to move the yCover from one plant to another.
