Gardyn Home 3, Step 8: Install Your Plants
Hooray, it's time to plant your yCubes!
Begin by inserting 1 yPod per open slot in the columns for as many yCubes as you want to plant. To insert, twist each yPod until it sits flush with the column.
Place your selected yCubes into the yPods and don't forget to remove the transportation cardboard. yCubes are correctly inserted when they sit flush with the yPod.
If you're beginning with fewer than 30 plants, be sure to cover the open slots to block anything from entering your columns, including light. Gardyn Caps are an easy solution for this.
Your Gardyn should now have every slot filled with either a yCube in a yPod, or a cover. With everything in place, you're ready to download the Gardyn app so you can connect your Gardyn to WiFi and pair it with your mobile device.

If you're starting with fewer than 30 yCubes, cover open slots with an opaque cover, like Gardyn Caps, to prevent the light coming through. Covering unused slots also prevents anything else unwanted, like flying insects, from entering your columns directly.
Your Gardyn should now have every yPod filled with either a yCube or a Pod Cap.
To complete set-up, connect your Gardyn to Wifi so you can pair it with your mobile device. This is the key to controlling your device through your Gardyn app and staying connected with Kelby, your smart Gardyning assistant.
To get started, install the Gardyn App on your mobile device and follow the in-app prompts. Once your device is fully set up, turned on, and connected to the app, you should see your first sprouts in a matter of days.
