Gardyn 3.0, Step 8: Install Your Plants

Edited

Hooray, it's time to plant your yCubes! You may choose to plant fewer than the 30 yCubes in your Welcome Kit. Just be sure to cover any open yPods (those without yCubes) with the Pod Caps included in your accessory bag.

You can also check out this guide for tips on where each plant is best placed on your Gardyn!

  1. Insert 1 yPod into each of the open slots on every column. To insert, twist each yPod until it sits flush with the column.

  2. Place your selected yCubes into the yPods. yCubes are correctly inserted when they sit flush with the yPod. Don't forget to remove the transportation cardboard on each yCube you plant!

  3. If you're starting with fewer than 30 yCubes, be sure to use the Pod Caps from your accessory bag to cover open yPods. This helps prevent anything unwanted from entering or growing inside your device.

  4. Your Gardyn should now have every yPod filled with either a yCube or a Pod Cap.

To complete set-up, connect your Gardyn to Wifi so you can pair it with your mobile device. This is the key to controlling your device through your Gardyn app and staying connected with Kelby, your smart Gardyning assistant.

To get started, install the Gardyn App on your mobile device and follow the in-app prompts. Once your device is fully set up, turned on, and connected to the app, you should see your first sprouts in a matter of days.
